Responsibilities
The Building Inspection staff is responsible for issuing building permits for all structures 200 square feet or larger in the City of Winchester and all of Clark County. A building permit is also required for all parking lots and/or changes to parking lots.
Other responsibilities of the department include:
- Issuing electrical and demolition permits.
- Reviewing plans

Inspection requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance and can be scheduled by calling 859-744-7019 or emailing inspections@winchesterky.com.
